About Us
Dobbin Photography was started to sustain the demands of my daughter Hayley and her Horse GiGi (Gorsaf Golden Girl) as they trained and competed in show jumping, arena eventing, 1 day events, hunter trials and cross country.
The Dobbin in Dobbin Photography comes from a classic childrens television show from my youth. Dobbin was the name of a pantomime horse in the show.
For the longest time i tried to get Hayley involved in photography because she has always had an artistic eye, however she wasn’t interested!
Fast forward a few years and Hayley is now the camera and photography addict i always knew she could be!

Portfolio HayleyHayley has been horse mad since she was 3 years old, riding at most of our local schools at least once a week and often more!
One of Hayleys primary school teachers commented that Hayley always turns in way too much homework! an odd complaint i know! Maybe she could look at some other subject matter, other than horses?
Well, that didn’t happen! Secondary school featured a fair amount of horse based course work as well..
At 16, Hayley was living away at college her studies were obviously equine, which were followed by a degree! She has worked directly in the equine world for several years.
Hayley works closely with several well known equine brands.
GiGiGorsaf Golden Girl or GiGi and sometimes “Donkey”
Gee is a welsh cob and she and Hayley met at college where GiGi was very under appreciated! She wasn’t used for lessons as she was difficult!
Hayley saw potential where others did not, so Hayley bought her!
Gee wasn’t particularly well trained nor were her riders!
She worked and was worked hard, she wasn’t allowed any of her “get away withs” and she lost a lot of excess weight she had gained while on the college yard.
A strong bond of love and trust quickly followed and it turns out Gee loves to run and loves to jump. She also loves her likit toys and treats, even if she is to clever for them!
GiGi is now entering her 24th year but you wouldn’t know it!
